Growth Hormone deficiency
Growth hormone
- 0.3-1 mg s.c in the eveining
Gonadotropins deficiency
For wome:
- (Oestradial valeate 1-2 mg daily PO or Conjugated equine oestrogens 0.625-a.25 mcg daily PO) plus Progesterone (Dose depends on preparation used)
For men:
IM
- Testosterone ester (Sustanon) 250 mg IM every 2-3 weeks
- Testtosterone undcanoate 1000mg/12 weeks
Transdermal
- Patch 5-7.5 mg /24 hrs
- Gel sachet 50 mg/5g sachet/24 hours
- Gel dispenser 30 mg/12 hrs
Buccal
- 30 mg/12 hrs
TSH deficiency
Thyroxine
- 75-150 mcg daily
ACTH deficiency
Hydrocortisone
- 10 mg morning, 5 mg noon, 5 mg evening
Prolactin
- Nil
ADH deficiency
Desmopressin
- 10-40 mcg intranasally in 2-3 divided doses
- 300-600 mcg daily PO in 2-3 divided doses
