For rapid replacement (ICU setting) , 5g of Mg in 250 ml of 0.9% NaCl in 2 hours (Cardiac monitor/Telemetry required)

For slow infusion (ward), 3 gm in 0.9% NaCl 250 ml in 6 hours.
